Con un poco de retraso por fin traigo una nueva entrada del blog. He estado bastante ocupado con temas de trabajo... algunas fotos de publicidad, reuniones en agencias y planificación de qué haré en un futuro espero que cercano. Estoy muy feliz.
Esta sesión quería enfocarla al mundo de la moda y belleza, intentando mantener mi estilo y buscando imágenes con mucha fuerza visual. Ademas de las fotos, quería rodar un pequeño video con unos tiempos y una estética similares a un spot de perfume. Que por qué quería hacer esto? Pues para hacer crecer mi portfolio y orientarlo hacia los trabajos que aspiro hacer. A mi me gustaría rodar y hacer fotos para marcas como Loewe, entonces hacer sesiones que encajen con esa estética me parece un buen plan! Aunque pueda parecer una tontería, saber qué es lo que quieres hacer es absolutamente vital para conseguirlo. Pienso que cuanto más claro tienes a dónde quieres llegar, más sencillo es conseguirlo.
Hemos grabado un making of para mostrar un poco cómo fue la sesión. Veréis que ésta vez he iluminado con luz continua en lugar de usar flashes, esa decisión la tomé para poder grabar el video con la misma iluminación que las fotos sin tener que cambiar los aparatos y perder tiempo. También me interesaba poder disparar a velocidades lentas en la foto de la tela volando para que tuviese una buena sensación de movimiento, y los flashes sin duda la iban a congelar mucho más. With some delay I finally wrote a new blog entry. I've been busy... some advertisement shots, meetings and a lot of life planning. I'm really happy now.
I wanted to focus this photoshoot on fashion and beauty, but keeping my personal style and looking for pictures with high visual impact. I wanted to shoot some pictures but also record a little movie with the aesthetics and tempo of a perfume ad. Why I wanted to do this? to enhance my portfolio and aim it to the works I‘d like to do. I would love to film and shoot campaigns of big brands like Loewe, so trying to focus my work on that aesthetics it seems to be a good plan! It might sound silly, but knowing what you want to do is definitely essential to achieve it. I think the more you know where you want to be, the simplest is to get there.
We have recorded a behind the scenes video of the session. You'll see I've illuminated with continuous light instead of using my flashes. I have taken this decision for being able to record the video with the same lighting used for the photos. Also I wanted to shoot the picture of the floating fabric at a slow shutter speed to get a nice sense of movement, and that is not possible with a flash. Here you have the behind the scenes:
